Some members of our exec team, Sarah, Kelly, and Jane, have been working on a new initiative for our members! It’s called Music Teacher Talk Time (MT3), where we will have an hour of drop in music teaching Q&A each month, hopefully starting in October. Stay tuned for the information on how to sign up!
Name: MT3: Music Teacher Talk Time
What/Why: This is an hour-long Zoom led by an OMEA Board Member and an OMEA Executive Board Member where our registered members can attend to ask questions and share ideas. The sessions won’t have a prescribed focus but the moderator(s) can choose a resource(s) to highlight to spark conversation if needed. This is a great way for us to connect with our members, support them, and brainstorm together.
Who: An OMEA Board Member and/or an OMEA Executive Board Member will moderate each of these sessions. Attendees will register ahead of time and must be current OMEA members.
When: We are hoping for these sessions to happen each month, starting in October. The day of the week and time will be determined by the OMEA Board Member moderating with the small exception that the sessions are scheduled after 3PM on weekdays, with no prescribed time on weekends.
Where: These sessions will take place via Zoom. I will send an email to the moderators and the registrants in advance of the scheduled session with the Zoom link.
