Connect Music with Literacy (and other cross-curricular subjects) by Creating a Song!

This unit can be taught by classroom teachers and/or music specialists. Your students will be able to write song lyrics after they have explored such topics as: finding the hook; listening and sharing favourite hooks; exploring a variety of hooks; connecting hooks with themes; and, exploring strategies for connecting lyric-writing with hooks.
