Art Fusion is an alliance between the Ontario Art Education Association, the Ontario Music Educators’ Association, and the Council for Ontario Drama and Dance Educators. We are pleased to offer 3 events to support educators, especially those who are teaching more than one art strand.
Our mission is to empower educators in the arts throughout Ontario by raising awareness about the unique challenges we face today. We strive to provide valuable opportunities for educators to delve into current best practices in arts education, encompassing visual arts, music, dance, and drama. Our commitment extends to offering a rich array of virtual and in-person events, resources, and materials designed to enhance teaching and learning experiences in the arts, ensuring every educator has the tools they need to inspire and nurture creativity in their students.
ONLINE MODULES: All New art strand lessons and resources will be posted on OAEA, OMEA, and CODE websites and available to members from all 3 associations by the fall of 2024. Be sure to check our social media for updates!

IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS: Learn from experienced specialist teachers about all four art strands in the same place. Workshops will be offered in 3 cities: WATERLOO (St. David’s Waterloo Catholic High School 4 High Street), BARRIE (Location TBA), and BELLEVILLE (Location TBA) on OCTOBER 5th from 9:30 – 2:30pm. Location information will be forthcoming. The cost to attend is $10.00 for members of OMEA, OAEA or CODE. Cost for non-members is $30.00. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from experienced, specialist teachers about all four art strands in one place.
ARTS ALONGSIDE INDIGENOUS LEADERS: Art Fusion is partnering with the Urban Indigenous Education centre to offer an “Arts Alongside Indigenous Leaders” workshop on November 23 from 9:30 – 2:30pm in Toronto (TDSB Urban Indigenous Education Centre (UIEC) 16 Phin Ave, Toronto, ON M4L 3T2).
